As if being in Paris for the first time wasn’t enough for us to grasp, we found ourselves greeted by a charming courtyard which led us to our Parisian apartment that we would call home for the next ten days. The cool fall weather collided with the warm colored walls of our personal private sanctuary. Every morning as I headed to my first show of the day, I was invited into the courtyard by the sounds of sprinkling water over potted plants that the neighbors would cluster, making their own version of a French garden. “Bonjour Mademoiselle!” the precious French lady would announce as she continued watering her plants. It would get me every time. What is this life? I would think to myself.
On this particular day of Fashion Week, perhaps day four or five…or six, maybe seven, I realized my choice of outfit would compliment the courtyard perfectly. Soft natural tones of an oversized nude blazer paired with a burgundy silk plaid trouser, mixed prints with my nude, snake-printed Ralph Lauren heels (low heel, of course) and a Spanish braid to pull it all together; but wait, I can’t forget about my fabulous vintage ear cuff that I had been waiting to wear, and I figured Paris Fashion Week was the perfect time to show it off!
Hey Paris, I miss you.
