Another gorgeous day in Paris with fellow bloggers and fashion week show-goers Kait of MadlyMignon and Larissa of LivinLikeLarz . Following a morning of photographing our favorite fashion icons at the Dior show, we decided to have lunch at the famous french luxury bakery and sweet maker house known as Ladurée Champs-élysées. But before arriving, we stumbled upon a darling automobile better known as the Fiat. We were immediately drawn to this gentle piece of machinary sitting outside of a local art gallery. The owner of the car was conveniently standing outside smoking his mid-day cigarette and grew pleased by our praises that he offered to let us sit inside and explore. And what do you know, the leather seats and velvet panels matched my bow tie. Quick, someone take a photo!
And then, just like the sort of thing that happens in Paris, we took a few more steps down the street and found ourselves in another post card worthy scene. Like, we get it, Paris! You’re perfect. An overwhelming presence of nature perfectly curated outside of a flower shop. Potted plants cozied up on top of old books, the vines and greenery framing the large window in front. The reds were brighter and more vibrant than I’d ever seen! Again, quick! Someone take a photo!
About the outfit : What I appreciate about a French woman’s take on fashion, is how easily you notice their graceful sophistication and confidence in the way they dress. The french woman doesn’t feel the need to flaunt it and if you have been following my blog since day one, you can see that my style approach is built on modesty. It’s just how I roll. Mirroring french fashion would be right up my alley. So, I paired a perforated leather jacket fitted enough to tuck in one of my favorite designer pieces, a voluminous skirt by the late Oscar de la Renta. I added a vintage bow tie to off-set the “girly” appeal. As far as adding cream dress socks with my shoes? I guess I was tired of working on editorial shoots using this idea and never trying it myself!
