COLOR: A concept that seems to be a rare feature on my website, specifically missing from “THE LOOK” section.. But nonetheless, I’m ready to incorporate this new idea.. at least for this post anyway.
SO! Welcome to day 5 of NYFW. On this very day, I ran the snowy white – glistening city streets in a mustard yellow coat-like-blazer. Can you believe it? Me? In Mustard yellow?
I was photographed outside of the Main Post Office on 33rd and 8th just before the Jeremy Scott fashion show. Afterwards, we continued on to our Fashion Week mobile office/lunch destination also known as The Mercer Kitchen. Picture it, a library-esque lounge full of New York fashion elites, sipping on cocktail/cappuccinos, dressed in rich layers upon layers of anything in black. But now, look over towards the middle, yeah, that’s me sitting there sticking out like a sore thumb. Mustard Yellow. I was absolutely out of my element, but the wide brim black hat and tinted Celine sunglasses made me feel more at home. Fun fact? About an hour later, I found myself talking with Mr. Kanye West himself. Discussing his fashion show and brilliant listening party we attended days before at Madison Square Garden. Is this my new lucky color? We’ll see.
